MWA Announces New Young Muslims Writers Awards

The Muslim Writers Awards is expanding its work with young people and introducing a separate awards evening dedicated to young Muslim writers. The Young Muslim Writers Award will be open to children aged 8 to 16, covering a range of genres; with the first ever winners due to be announced at an exciting awards ceremony in London, scheduled for April 2010.

Ayesha Community Education (ACE) is an Islamic secondary girls’ school located in Hendon and has been running since 2005. This year, the school operations have expanded to include a co-educational primary school.  The school is committed to academic excellence. We are registered with the DCFS and hence undergo OFSTED inspections which means that our performance is externally scrutinised. Naturally, teacher’s professional development ranks high on our priorities.

Twin teenagers Kawsar and Sarwar Zaman, 18 of Bethnal Green have both just returned having spent 6 weeks travelling  India and China during the summer as Global Fellows of the Prime Minister.
